Pushkar

One of the oldest cities in India is Pushkar, located to the northwest of Ajmer. It is the most favored destination for millions of tourist & devotees. Pushkar is surrounded by hill rocks on the three sides. The famous ‘Nag Pahar’ meaning snake mountain forms a natural boarder between Amer & pushkar. According to the legends, Lord Brahma who is believed to be the creator of the universe dropped a lotus on the ground which leads to immediate creation of the lake. He then names this place on the name of the flower, Pushkar. This city of Pushkar is home to first only temple dedicated to Lord Brahma in the whole world.
