Ujjain’s grand Kumbh Mela, which occurs 4 times over the course of 12 years, where millions of devotees gather around, is world famous. It takes place at four locations in India: Prayagraj (Allahabad), Haridwar, Nashik, and Ujjain. Devotees take bath in sacred rivers like Ganges (at Haridwar and Prayagraj), the Godavari (at Nashik), and the Shipra (at Ujjain), which is believed to cleanse their sins & help then attain salvation.
In Ujjain another world famous temple is Ujjain Mahakal which is said that Lord Shiva chose himself the stay in form of ‘Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga’ in Ujjain to bleass his devotees. It is one of the 12 Jyotirlinga’s in India.
