Situated on the ridges snow-capped-Pir Pranjal Mountains & also on banks of Tawi river , Jammu is also known as City of Temples. It is famous is winter capital of Jammu-Kashmir & is the land of ancient temples & beautiful palaces.
It has great natural beauty, history & spirituality. Have many famous temples like Raghunath Temple, Ranbireshwar Temple, Peer Kho Cave Temple, Bawey Wali Mata, and Mahamaya Temple. Other interesting places includes Amar Mahal Museum, Mansar Lake, Baag-e-Bahu Park and the Fish Aquarium at Baag-e-Bahu.
The climate of Jammu is moderate but it’s very cool from September to April. April -June is very hot & not the ideal time to visit.
A very important renowned Hindu pilgrimage site dedicated to Vaishno Devi a manifestation of Hindi Goddess Mahalakshmi is situated on the Trikuta hills of Jammu Kashmir.
