Bikaner

Founded in 1486, Bikaner was established by Rathore prince Rao Bikaji. It is also famous as Camel Country.

Located amidst Thar Desert this city is also known as “cultural paradise & traveler’s heaven”. Bikaner is filled with colors, festivities & cultural treats & has magnificent architecture, art & culture. Bikaner is home to one of the world’s largest camel research & breeding farms where you can see camel of different breeds & their behavior. The famous Camel Festival is a three-day festival which attracts thousands of tourists all over the world showcasing various camel dances, camel shows, and culture of heritage of Rajasthan.

Also famous as Red city, have lavishly carved havelis from red sandstone made by wealthy merchants in the 18th century & have most famous places to see. The another famous attraction in Bikaner is the Karni Mata mandir also known as Rat temple. It is famous for being home to over 25,000 rats that freely roam around temple complex often passes over the feet of the devotees & visitors.
