Surrounded by Arabian Sea, Bay of Bengal & Arabian Sea. It comprises of diverse region, with Western & Eastern Ghats. It consist of five states Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Kerala & Karnataka as well as union territories of Lakshadweep & puducherry.
The region of South India contains beautiful beaches, waterfalls, backwaters, forests, wildlife sanctuaries with wide range of animals.
In terms of food & spices, Southern states has a great use of spices, coconuts, fish because most of them have coastal kitchens. In the foods of Tamil Nadu use of tamarind is frequently made in order to impart sourness to the dishes. It simply distinguishes Tamil Food from other cuisines.
Kerala dishes includes lamb stew & Malaba fried prawns, idlis, fish molie, dosas & rice puttu. Another very famous item of this region is sweetened coconut milk & puttu which is glutinous rice powder steamed like a pudding in a bamboo shoot.
